【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesabasicmethodofdeterminingparticlesizedistributionapplicabletoawiderangeofmineralsoilmaterials,includingthemineralfractionoforganicsoils.Italsooffersprocedurestodealwiththelesscommonsoilsmentionedintheintroduction.ThisInternationalStandardhasbeendevelopedlargelyforuseinthefieldofenvironmentalscience,anditsuseingeotechnicalinvestigationsissomethingonwhichprofessionaladvicemightberequired.AmajorobjectiveofthisInternationalStandardisthedeterminationofenoughsizefractionstoenabletheconstructionofareliableparticlesizedistributioncurve.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotapplytothedeterminationoftheparticlesizedistributionoftheorganiccomponentsofsoil,i.e.themoreorlessfragile,partiallydecomposed,remainsofplantsandanimals.ItshouldalsoberealizedthatthechemicalpretreatmentsandmechanicalhandlingstagesinthisInternationalStandardcouldcausedisintegrationofweaklycohesiveparticlesthat,fromfieldinspection,mightberegardedasprimaryparticles,eventhoughsuchprimaryparticlescouldbebetterdescribedasaggregates.Ifsuchdisintegrationisundesirable,thenthisInternationalStandardshouldnotbeusedforthedeterminationoftheparticlesizedistributionofsuchweaklycohesivematerials.
