【摘要】:1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureformeasuringgamma-rayabsorbeddoseinCaF2(Mn)thermoluminescencedosimeters(TLDs)exposedtomixedneutron-photonenvironmentsduringirradiationofmaterialsanddevices.Thepracticehasbroadapplication,butisprimarilyintendedforuseintheradiation-hardnesstestingofelectronics.Thepracticeisapplicabletothemeasurementofabsorbeddosefromgammaradiationpresentinfieldsusedforneutrontesting.1.2ThispracticedescribesaprocedureforcorrectingfortheneutronresponseofaCaF2(Mn)TLD.Theneutronresponsemaybesubtractedfromthetotalresponsetogivethegamma-rayresponse.Infieldswithalargeneutroncontributiontothetotalresponse,thisproceduremayresultinlargeuncertainties.1.3Morepreciseexperimentaltechniquesmaybeappliediftheuncertaintyderivedfromthispracticeislargerthantheusercanaccept.Thesetechniquesarenotdiscussedhere.ThereferencesinSection8describesomeofthesetechniques.1.4ThispracticedoesnotdiscusseffectsontheTLDreadingofneutroninteractionswithmaterialsurroundingtheTLDtoensurechargedparticleequilibrium.Theseeffectsdependonthesurroundingmaterialanditsthickness,andontheneutronspectrum(1).
