【摘要】:Thedeterminationofthemassperunitareaofpileyarnfloorcoveringisusefulinqualityandcostcontrolduringthemanufactureofpilefloorcovering.Bothappearanceandperformancemaybeaffectedbychangesinmassperunitarea.Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandsuppliershouldconductcomparisontestingtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimumthetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedtoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudent''st-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiespriortotesting.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandsuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationtotheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofmassperunitareaofmachine-madewoven,knitted,andtuftedpileyarnfloorcoveringbothbeforeandafteranadhesive-backcoatingapplication.1.2Thistestmethodencompassesthreetechniquesfordeterminationofmassperunitareaasapplicable:1.2.1Section7,fordeterminingtotalmassperunitarea,appliestobothcoatedanduncoated(unfinished)pilefloorcoverings.1.2.2Section8,fordeterminingcomponentmassperunitarea,appliesonlytouncoated(unfinished)pileyarnfloorcoverings.1.2.3Section9,fordeterminingpileyarnmassperunitarea,appliesonlytoback-coated,orfinished,pileyarnfloorcoverings.1.3DeterminationofmassperunitareaofpileyarnfloorcoveringswaspreviouslycontainedwithinTestMethods.Foruserconvenience,SubcommitteeD13.21subdividedTestMethodsintoseparatestandards,ofwhichthistestmethodisone.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin9.5.
