【摘要】:Ifasealcanbeopenedbyanymeansandsuccessfullyreappliedwithoutexhibitingsignsindicativeofpriorattack,theintegralqualityofthesealisinseriousquestion.Thisguideallowsthatanyparticularmethodofattempteddefeatcanbeemployedtodefeataseal,andconcentratesnotontheeffectivenessofthesealtoresistthatattack,butratheronthenatureoftheindividualsealtoinhibitreapplication.Thisstandardpresentsguidelinesforinspectiontoassistindeterminingwhetheranattempttodefeatasecurityseal,andtopossiblyreapplytheseal,hasbeenmade.Inallcases,theguidelinesaremeanttofocusattentiononsignsofattackandreapplication.1.1Thisguidecoversproceduresfortheinspectionandevaluationoftamperingofsecurityseals.1.2Asecuritysealisadeviceintendedtodetecttamperingorentry.Evaluateonlysingleuselockingdevicesunderthisguide.Thefollowingproceduresshallserveasguidelinesfordetectingattemptsatdefeatandreapplicationofasecurityseal.1.3Thisguideisnotintendedtobefullycomprehensive;certaintypesofsecurityseals,suchaslabels,havenotbeenaddressedtodate.Further,itistheresponsibilityofusersofthisguidetointerprettheirspecificsecurityneedsconcerningtheuseofseals,andtodeterminethegradeofsealappropriatefortheirparticularapplication.ASTMassumesnoresponsibilityforlossesoccurringasaresultofadefeatedseal.
